Meet Me @ The Altar have released a new single, Strangers.
Along with the previously shared Give It Up and a cover of Take Me Away, the propulsive pop-punk track will appear on the deluxe, expanded version of the Florida band's debut album, 'Past // Present // Future', out on September 29 via Fueled By Ramen. Frontwoman Edith Victoria commented on the track:
"Strangers wrestles with self-consciousness. It’s about experiencing the nagging self-doubt that fuels imposter syndrome or accuses you of not being strong enough to endure what life has a tendency to throw at you. The song explores the sensation that you're missing out on being your true self and reaching your full potential because you can't shake the thought that you're not good enough. Sometimes I catch myself questioning how much further along I might be toward my goals if it weren't for anxiety and self-sabotage."
The reissue will also include another new song, Changes, alongside the original tracklist.
The trio are currently touring North America supporting 5 Seconds Of Summer. Following that, they'll return to the UK for rescheduled shows in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and London in October and November.
