Rage Against The Machine Will Not Tour Or Play Live Again According To Drummer Brad Wilk

Rage Against The Machine have disbanded for a third time.
The politically-charged band "will not be touring or playing live again" according to drummer Brad Wilk, who yesterday (January 3) released a statement to Instagram:
"I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new tour dates for all the cancelled RATM shows. I don’t want to string people or myself along any further.
"So while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom and I) will not be touring or playing live again.
"I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…"
In the caption accompanying the post, he added: "Bottom of my heart. Thank you to every person who has ever supported us."
There's currently no statement on Rage Against The Machine's social media, nor has any other member of the band commented.
Following an 11-year hiatus, the influential group, who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in late 2023, initially announced their reunion tour dates in 2019, which were then delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The trek eventually kicked off in North America in summer 2022, although singer Zack de la Rocha sustained an Achilles tendon tear that forced him to perform while seated for 18 shows before the band cancelled their remaining European and North American dates. They've not played since, though fans had hoped the shows would be rescheduled.
