Cassyette has announced her debut album.

The rising alt-rock artist, who is currently performing in UK arenas supporting Bring Me The Horizon, will release 'This World Fucking Sucks' on August 23 via 23 Recordings. Introducing the project, she said:

"I’m so excited for the release of my first album. I’ve put in so much work and I’ve collaborated with so many amazing and talented people and I’m so grateful to see it brought to life.

"Since my Dad’s passing, I’ve tried my best to not surrender to the darkness that comes with grief. It’s from that darkness that 'This World Fucking Sucks' was born, and I really hope to do him proud, and that anyone that’s going through the same thing takes comfort in listening to it. We’re in this together."

As a preview, the singer-songwriter has shared the record's joint lead singles, Why Am I Like This? and Ipecac, both of which tap into pop and rock elements while maintaining fiery punk energy. They follow the previously unveiled Boom, released in 2023. In 2022, she dropped her debut mixtape, 'Sad Girl'.

Alongside the news, Cassyette has also scheduled a UK and European tour for the spring. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (January 19).

She'll also support Bryan Adams at Plymouth Summer Sessions and at The Piece Hall in Halifax as part of the Live At The Piece Hall series in June, following a set at Portsmouth's Takedown Festival in April.
