You Me At Six Announce Split And 2025 Farewell Tour

You Me At Six have announced they are breaking up.
The British rockers took to social media last night (January 31) to reveal they will call it a day in 2025, following a farewell tour that will see the band say goodbye to fans with a run of global live dates. Frontman Josh Franceschi explained in a statement:
"When we started YMAS we were kids. We only ever wanted longevity, to travel and to experience life as a group of friends. We feel like on the eve of our 20th anniversary as a band, now is a good time to call time.
"We’re in a fortunate position where our fans still want to see us live and come celebrate the life of this band. So that is what we will do for 2024 and 2025. We can’t wait to see our fans on the road."
In addition to the statement, the five-piece have shared a clip showing some career highlights accompanied by a caption that reads: "This is the end. Thank you for being the heartbeat of this band. Final live shows taking place 2024/2025."
Specific details about the tour are still to be confirmed, though the band are set to hit the road in the UK later in February to celebrate 10 years of their 'Cavalier Youth' LP. They'll then play an intimate show in Brighton on February 19 as part of BRITs Week for War Child, and make their last festival appearance when headlining Slam Dunk in May.
You Me At Six have released eight studio albums since their formation in 2004. Their latest album is 2023's 'Truth Decay', which was followed by a live EP titled 'Truth Decay – Live From Alexandra Palace'.
