The barrelling folk-punk track is the latest to be lifted from the singer-songwriter's new album, 'Undefeated', which is due out on May 3 via Xtra Mile Recordings.
It follows the previously shared cuts Girl From The Record Shop, No Thank You For The Music and Do One in previewing Turner's 10th studio LP. He said:
"Letters is a song that I’ve been working on for a long time; in some ways I’ve been writing it since a genuine pen-friendship of mine dried up when I was a kid, when the mix-tapes stopped coming through the post. It’s a song about communication and its breakdown, about nostalgia for teenage romance, and about how reassessing those things as an adult can be the start of a healing process."
Turner will support the new record with a North American tour in the spring, which includes an appearance at Boston Calling festival in Massachusetts. He'll also play the UK's 2000trees festival in July and Y Not Festival in Derbyshire in August.
