Jake Bugg Tickets For The Modern Day Distraction UK And European Tour On Sale 10am Today

Jake Bugg has announced UK and European shows for the autumn. Jake Bugg tickets go on general sale at 10am BST/11am CEST.
Following shows in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, the Nottingham singer-songwriter will take The Modern Day Distraction Tour to the O2 Academy Leeds, London's Roundhouse, Dublin's National Stadium, Glasgow's' Barrowland Ballroom and Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse between November 18 and 26. Support on all dates will come from rising Liverpool rockers Stone.
The trek takes its name from Bugg's newly announced sixth studio album, 'A Modern Day Distraction', due out through RCA Records on September 20, following up 2021's 'Saturday Night Sunday Morning'.
Produced by Metrophonic at Metrophonic Studios in London, the LP is previewed by the anthemic new single Zombieland, a bold, guitar-driven offering about the daily grind.
"It’s fucking brutal," Bugg said of the people he’s known who exist in "a constant cycle of working to live." He continued: "They’re not paid what they’re worth. People have the same routine every day, they’re at work more than they see their kids, then the government puts the retirement age up. It's not right."
Commenting on the record, Bugg added: "People might say 'What do you know?' or 'Just stick to music'. I’ve got a bit of money, but we all know the people this affects. I was just writing it because it was the way I felt. It pisses me off – especially in a country like ours where we have the means and funds to take care of the people suffering the most, but we choose not to."
