Porridge Radio To Split Following 2025 Tour Dates, Confirm Final EP 'The Machine Starts To Sing'

Thursday, 16 January 2025 Written by Jon Stickler

Porridge Radio are parting ways.

The trio will release the four-track EP 'The Machine Starts To Sing' through Secretly Canadian on February 21, then call it quits after their previously scheduled North American and European tour dates, details of which you can find here.

Produced by Dom Monks, the EP is a collection of songs recorded during the making of the Brighton band's fourth album, 2024's 'Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me'. Vocalist Dana Margolin said in a statement:

"This is the last new music from Porridge Radio and marks the end of the band. The songs on this EP are an important part of 'Clouds In The Sky They Will Always Be There For Me', and mean a lot to us. We are excited for you to hear them. This band has been our life, we’re family now. These tours will be our last. Thanks so much for listening."

As a preview, stream the emotive acoustic ballad Don't Want To Dance, a song about "persisting, choosing life, living and trying again," below.

'The Machine Starts To Sing' tracklist:

1. Machine Starts To Sing
2. OK
3. Don’t Want To Dance
4. I’ve Got A Feeling (Stay Lucky)
