Black Coffee Announced For New London Outdoor Dance Music Series Labyrinth On The Thames

Wednesday, 22 January 2025 Written by Jon Stickler

A new open-air live music concert series will take place in London this summer.

The iconic Old Royal Naval College will welcome Labyrinth On The Thames, celebrating contemporary dance music over six days across the first two weekends in August. Created by Independent UK promoter Labyrinth, the shows will take place on the edge of the River Thames against the backdrop of the London skyline.

The first act announced for the series is Grammy-winning South African superstar Black Coffee, who will be the first DJ/producer to headline the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich on August 1. The exclusive performance will also mark his only London show of the summer. Pre-sale tickets go on sale on January 30 at 10am, exclusively to those who sign up here. General sale follows at 3pm the same day via Dice.

Founder of Labyrinth, Nick Castleman commented: "As someone of South African heritage myself, it brings me great joy to announce Black Coffee as the first show at this breathtaking location. Black Coffee’s story and achievements throughout his illustrious career are forever inspiring and we couldn’t dream up a more fitting act to launch the venue with."

Black Coffee release his most recent studio album, 'Subconsciously', in 2021. At the end of that year, he honoured the late Virgil Abloh with the DJ mix 'For My Dear Friend V'. In December 2024, he enlisted vocalist Shoba for a remix of Not The Same by Nitefreak, Imad and Clubhouse.
