Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Announce Fifth Album 'Death Hilarious' With New Single Stitches

Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs will return with their fifth studio album this spring.
The Newcastle riff lords will release 'Death Hilarious' through Rocket Recordings (and Missing Piece Records in North America) on April 4, following up 2023's 'Land Of Sleeper' and last year's Record Store Day exclusive vinyl of their 2023 KEXP session.
Alongside the news, the band have shared a new single, Stitches, which shows off their penchant for crafting pummelling Sabbathian guitar licks and visceral lyrics. Head below to stream the song's grisly animated video, directed by Ben Faircloth. Frontman Matt Baty explained:
"I'm aware our band sits in a world largely commandeered by bravado, confidence and machoism, but Stitches is an expression of vulnerability, paradoxical emotions and those so familiar pangs of anxiety I wrestle with while butting heads with societal expectations and personal struggles."
Discussing their intentions for the album, producer and guitarist Sam Grant added: "We wanted it to be a slap in the face."
Stitches follows on from the record's first single, Detroit, which landed last November. The record also boasts bars by El-P from Run The Jewels on the track Glib Tongued.
Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs will hit the road this spring for a previously scheduled UK and European tour, which includes three dates in Newcastle, billed as the Hometown Weekender. Tickets are on sale now.
