An unearthed Tina Turner song has been released.
Hot For You Baby is an uptempo, soulful rock track that shows off the raw power of the late singer's raspy vocals.
Played for the first time today (January 23) on BBC Radio 2, the song was originally intended to feature on Turner's fifth album, 1984's 'Private Dancer', but didn't make the final cut. Presumed lost, the master tape was recently rediscovered as her record label put together a 40th anniversary edition of the record.
It will appear on 'Private Dancer (40th Anniversary)' alongside the original record's tracklist, b-sides, rarities, live recordings, restored music videos, and footage of the iconic performer.
A five-CD box set also includes a 55-minute Private Dancer Tour show filmed at Birmingham's NEC and featuring performances with David Bowie and Bryan Adams. A release is slated for March 21 via Warner.
Tina Turner died in May 2023 aged 83.
