Bruce Springsteen Previews Lost Soundtrack Album 'Faithless' With Previously Unheard Title Track

Bruce Springsteen has unveiled another lost song.
An acoustic ballad, Faithless serves as the title track of a forgotten soundtrack, one of seven previously shelved records to be released as part of the 'Tracks II: The Lost Albums' box set, due out on June 27. Head here for more details on the collection.
Intended to accompany a film that never ended up getting made, 'Faithless' was recorded primarily solo over a two-week period in Florida, following Springsteen's 2005 Devils & Dust Tour, and ahead of the release of 2006's 'We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions' LP. It features contributions from some E Street Band members, as well as his wife Patti Scialfa, and their sons Evan and Sam. Springsteen said:
"This was a really unusual collection of songs. You could recognize details and maybe a character or two. But for the most part, I just wrote atmospheric music that I thought would fit.”
Alongside the early April announcement of 'Tracks II: The Lost Albums', Springsteen released Rain In The River, from the 'Perfect World' LP in the collection. Later in April, he unveiled Blind Spot, the first song off the 'Streets of Philadelphia Sessions' LP, also in the set. Other never-heard records in the set include 'Somewhere North of Nashville', 'Inyo', 'Twilight Hours', and 'LA Garage Sessions ’83'.
Springsteen and The E Street Band will tour Europe this spring, with the trek including three dates at Manchester’s Co-Op Live arena and two shows at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium between May 14 and June 7. Tickets are on sale now.
