Banks Shares New Single Candy From Deluxe Edition Of 'Off With Her Head'

Banks has shared a new single, Candy.
Delving into the California artist's personal experiences with depression, the introspective track features on the recently released deluxe, expanded edition of the singer's 2025 album, 'Off With Her Head'. Addressing her experiences with anti-depressants, she said:
"The feeling like I was weak. It made me angry. It’s something I had to overcome. This song is filled with my personal stories told in a dream-like way. It holds anger, blame, shame, feeling lost, love, and acceptance within its composition. It touches on family dynamics that happen when a member is depressed. When someone wants to help but can’t. When offers of advice feel offensive. When antidepressants are the answer. Like the candy a child needs to stop crying. The balance between childlike sounds and the heavy subject matter creates a world that feels eerie and beautiful."
The deluxe album also includes five acoustic covers of 'Off With Her Head' tracks Direction, Stay, Meddle In The Mold, Delulu, and Love Is Unkind.
Banks will support her latest record with a previously scheduled North American tour in June, before UK and European dates in the autumn.
Following that, she'll bring her Off With Her Head Tour to Australia, with shows lined up in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in November. Tickets for those dates go on general sale at 11am local time on May 26.
