Karol G will release her new album next week!
The Grammy-winning Colombian singer and songwriter confirmed 'Tropicoqueta' is set to arrive on June 20. The follow-up to 2023's 'Mañana Será Bonito' will feature her spring single Latina Forever and summer 2024 single Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.
Introducing the record on Instagram, she said:
"Traveling the world with my last album, an album that gave me so much, I kept asking myself the same question: what's the next step? ... who's coming for me? I think it wasn't a matter of looking further, but of looking within.. more inside of me, of who I really am, of the things I like, of everything that represents me... Back to the roots, to the songs I grew up listening to, to the sounds that made me fall in love with music... staying in the place where I really feel great because it represents not only who I am, but to those people who have given me the opportunity to be where I am today.
"This album sounds like a little bit of everyone, it started as a wish in August 2023 since then I’ve been dropping some tracks on the way and I can say that when I finished it, I did it with a heart full of love that I received in every country I visited... This album is soul, it's passion, memory, it's nostalgia, it's joy, it's party, it's identity 🥹 As a good friend said, "It's a love letter to what we were and a manifestation of what we are now." It's my best way to say: I'm from here AND I FEEL INFINITELY PROUD!!! Family this album is out in 10 Days, IN TEN DAYSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!.
