Duran Duran will play an exclusive Halloween show in Manchester later this year.
Fans are encouraged to dress up in Halloween attire and help celebrate with the '80s pop legends at the Co-op Live arena on October 31. The one-night-only show will mark the band's first UK Halloween party, after a sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City last year. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (June 27).
The annual All Hallows' Eve gigs kicked off back in 2022, when the group performed a one-off show at the Wynn Theatre in Las Vegas, which led to the creation of their most recent album, 'Danse Macabre', released a year later. Speaking of the new UK show, keyboardist Nick Rhodes said:
"We are devilishly delighted to announce that we are bringing our annual Halloween extravaganza to the UK for the first time.
"It will be a unique, themed show unlike any of our other performances, overflowing with shocks and surprises — so even we do not know what may happen on the night...
"We invite you to dress for the occasion and Danse Macabre with us at Co-op Live in Manchester on October 31st.”
Frontman Simon Le Bon added: "I’m so excited to be coming to Manchester for this special Halloween concert. In fact, I’m thrilled — and, frankly, a little terrified!"
Ahead of the Halloween show, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will headline Powderham Castle in Devon on July 3, as part of the Powderham Presents concert series, and Chelmsford City Racecourse on July 5, as part of Chelmsford City Live. At both dates they'll be joined by special guests Nile Rodgers and CHIC.
The shows are part of a wider summer European tour, which also includes a gig at Dublin's Malahide Castle on June 30. Tickets are on sale now.
