Superchunk have shared another track from their upcoming album.
No Hope marks the latest preview of 'Songs In The Key Of Yikes', due out via Merge Records on August 22.
Despite its bleak title, the new offering serves up driving guitars, punchy drums, and an anthemic build that captures the North Carolina band's melodic, punk-influenced indie-rock sound. Vocalist Mac McCaughan commented:
"The last…10 (?) years have given us plenty of material for crushing nights and endless days, and this rollercoaster is only going down at the moment, but here we are singing."
The group previously shared the singles Is It Making You Feel Something, Bruised Lung, and their 2024 track, Everybody Dies, which also appears on the record.
They'll support the LP with a previously scheduled North American tour between September 5 and October 23. Tickets are on sale now.
