Gulp have laid out plans for their third album.
'Beneath Strawberry Moons' will arrive through ELK Records on August 29, following up 2018's 'All Good Wishes'.
It will include their spring single Always So Far and the newly shared Hope Shines Through the Haar. A blend of psych‑folk and ethereal indie-pop, the song comes with a video directed by Donald Milne and shot on a beach in Fife, Scotland. The band's Lindsey Leven said:
"I couldn’t ignore the history we are living through whilst writing the lyrics for this album, even if they exist mainly as almost subliminal in the background. ‘Haar’ is a Scottish word for sea mist. We get a lot of it where we live. If we can all look out for each other, we can look for that glimmer through the Haar. Here is hoping."
The trio — completed by Guto Pryce of Super Furry Animals and Das Koolies, and Andrew Wasylyk — will play four intimate UK shows, their first since 2017, in Glasgow, Dunfermline, Bethesda and Todmorden in September.
'Beneath Strawberry Moons' tracklist:
1. Sea Bear
2. Always So Far
3. Salt Years
4. Hope Shines Through The Haar
5. The Way We Live
6. Wildflower
7. Summer Storm
8. Someday In A City
9. Ultramarine Blue
