NewDad Announce Second Album 'Altar' With New Single Roobosh

NewDad have announced their second album.
'Altar' will arrive on September 19, following up their 2024 debut LP 'Madra', and will feature the tracks Puzzle and Entertainer from their 'Safe' EP that was released in May.
Written over the last two years and channelling emotions that resulted from relocating from their hometown Galway to London, the record will also include their angsty new single Roobosh, which combines dreamy shoegaze with punchy alt‑rock guitar riffs. Vocalist Julie Dawson said:
"Roobosh is just about being fed up. I wanted to write one song for the album that allowed me to shout, to get out all my frustration. Women get angry and we are expected to contain our rage but on this song I just allowed myself to go there. I wanted a song where I could moan and scream cause we all need to do that every once in a while and honestly it was just a bit of fun, letting myself get angry when I never allow myself to."

Following dates in China, Japan and North America this summer, the trio will tour Europe and the UK in the autumn. Tickets are on sale now.
