Poliça have announced a new album.
Led by Channy Leaneagh, the Minneapolis-based synth-pop band will release 'Dreams Go' through Memphis Industries on October 17, following up 2022's 'Madness'.
Written following bassist Chris Bierden's glioblastoma diagnosis, and recorded at Pachyderm Studio in their hometown before Bierden lost the ability to play, the record is a heartfelt reflection on loss, resilience and perseverance, while capturing the band amid a period of change.
To coincide with the announcement, the group have shared the record's hypnotic title track, which is guided by emotional vocals from Leaneagh, underpinned by atmospheric, synth-led production. Leaneagh said: "It’s an anthem for the dreams we swallow, bury away while life goes on without them."
Moving forward, with Bierden unable to perform live, Poliça’s new touring line-up includes newcomer Alex Nutter.
'Dreams Go' tracklist:
1. Carlines
2. Wound Up
3. Revival
4. Creeping
5. Wasted Me
6. Li5a
7. She Knows Me
8. Dreams Go
