Courtney Barnett has returned with a new single, Stay In Your Lane.
Arriving via Fiction Records and driven by an intense rhythm section, searing guitars and vivid lyricism, the song arrives with an unsettling video from filmmaker Alex Ross Perry.
It marks the beginning of the Grammy-nominated Australian singer-songwriter's next chapter, and serves as her first new material since 2023's instrumental album 'End Of The Day (music from the film Anonymous Club)', the follow-up to 2021's 'Things Take Time, Take Time' LP.
In February, she shared a cover of Neil Young's Lotta Love for a tribute album titled 'Heart Of Gold: The Songs Of Neil Young'.
Barnett has been previewing new material at intimate shows in Joshua Tree, California and Levon Helm Studios in New York, and will return to screens next Wednesday (October 22) to perform Stay In Your Lane on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
