Michael Ball has been confirmed as a headliner for next year's Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
The Olivier Award-winning and Grammy-nominated singer and actor will perform at the Llangollen Pavilion in North Wales on July 11, having last played there back in 2004. Tickets go on general sale at 10am this Wednesday (October 29). He said:
"I cannot wait to be coming back to Llangollen for the Eisteddfod. Me singing, talking, you providing a welcome in the hillside. I love performing in the Eisteddfod and I'm so honoured to be invited back. I hope you can come and see me there, we'll have a fabulous night."
Artistic Director of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, Dave Danford added: "We can't wait to welcome Michael Ball back to the Eisteddfod next summer. Since he last performed here more than 20 years ago, he's continued performing at the highest level. He is rightly regarded as Britain's leading musical theatre star, with a succession of major awards to his name. I've no doubt this will be a night to remember."
It was also recently announced that award-winning singer Emeli Sandé will make her debut at the Eisteddfod next summer, bringing a "one-night-only orchestral spectacular" to the Pavilion on July 10, featuring reworked versions of her greatest hits and fan favourites with The Absolute Orchestra. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
For those who don't know, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is an annual music and culture festival held in North Wales, next year running from July 7 to 12. David Gray, Pete Tong and Billy Ocean have been confirmed as headliners for its offshoot concert series, Live At Llangollen Pavilion. Tickets for those shows are on sale now.
Ball's latest release is 'Together At Home', his 2024 joint album with Alfie Boe.
