Shelf Lives have announced their debut album.

The 11-track 'Hypernormal' was produced by imdead and will arrive on February 25 via the London-based electro-punk duo's own label, Not Sorry Mom Records.

It was mixed by Matteo Buccomino and mastered by Stefan Brown at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, and features contributions from several collaborators, including Danio, whose credits include Fred Again... and Joy Anonymous, and Pat Alvarez, known for his work with Blessed Madonna, Joy Crookes and Good Neighbours. Shelf Lives said:

"Beneath all the noise, ‘Hypernormal’ is our attempt at trying to feel real again. It’s our way of asking, ‘what does it mean to be human when everything around you is pretending to be?’. We’re trying to stay sane in a culture that is overexposed, exploitative, and performative. There is a focus on wanting to be seen and wanting to disappear, on rage and resignation. ‘Hypernormal’ isn’t a concept album—it’s what happens when you write music in a world that’s falling apart and everyone calls it content. We are all normies now. Kiss the frog."

To coincide with the announcement, the pair have shared a new single and the record's opener, 2phoneS, which fuses their signature chaotic punk energy with glitchy electronic elements. It follows their earlier track like heR, which features Lola Sam from Hot Wax on bass.

Shelf Lives will support the LP with a UK and European tour in the spring, following dates supporting Karen Dió and Lambrini Girls up until December 1. Tickets are on sale now.
