Divorce have shared a new single with Marcus Mumford.
The track is a reworking of the Nottingham band's previous single Antarctica, featuring the distinct vocals of the Mumford & Sons frontman.
The collaboration originated in the summer while Divorce toured the US supporting Mumford & Sons, where the bands quickly became friends. Mumford developed a strong connection to the song and later performed it with the band for social media. It's now been released as an official recording. Co-vocalist and bassist Tiger Cohen-Towell said:
"Meeting and playing shows with Mumford & Sons has been an immense privilege and a career highlight. They are the nicest guys. When we first asked Marcus to sing on Antarctica he seemed so genuinely excited; and what he ended up contributing to the song was so striking and tender that we needed to immortalise it to record."
Co-vocalist and guitarist Felix Mackenzie-Barrow previously said the song was written, "as a way to self-soothe and make sense of the loss I was feeling, and also recounts an event that Tiger and I experienced, encountering a newborn calf in the middle of the road on a late night drive."
The original track opens the Nottingham band's debut album, 'Drive To Goldenhammer', which dropped back in March via Gravity/Capitol Records.
In August, they surprise released an extended, deluxe edition of the record featuring demos and BBC Radio sessions, including a live cover of Queen's I Want To Break Free, and three new songs, including O Calamity and Wendolene.
The four-piece are currently amid a UK tour which continues with a performance in Norwich tonight (December 5). They also have North American dates in the diary for the spring. Tickets are on sale now.
