Alter Bridge Drop New Track Scales Are Falling Ahead Of Album Release

Alter Bridge have shared a final teaser track ahead of the release of their self-titled eighth album via Napalm Records this Friday (January 9).
Serving up their signature melodic rock guitar riffs with brooding atmospheric elements and soaring vocals, Scales Are Falling explores a darker sound and marks the fourth preview of the follow-up to 2022's 'Pawns & Kings'.
Delving into themes of deception and the emotional impact of learning the truth, the track will be joined on the record by the Florida rockers' earlier singles Playing Aces, What Lies Within and Silent Divide.
Vocalist Myles Kennedy said: "It’s when you realize the reality of a situation where you’ve been deceived. You see the truth and how harsh it is." Guitarist Mark Tremonti added: "I was excited for this one. It has an atmospheric vibe with a lot of peaks, valleys, and moods. I solo over the bridge, and Myles plays the outro."

The four-piece will embark on their What Lies Within Tour across Europe and the UK later this month, featuring support from Daughtry and Sevendust. The US leg will take place in the spring, with Filter, Sevendust and Tim Montana supporting on select dates.
Alter Bridge will return to the UK in the summer to headline their inaugural Blackbird Festival at Cardiff Castle on June 27, joined by Bush, Skindred, Florence Black and Cardinal Black. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.
