Puscifer Share New Track ImpetuoUs Ahead Of 'Normal Isn't' Release

Puscifer, the project of Maynard James Keenan of Tool, Mat Michell and Carina Round, have shared a final early single ahead of the arrival of their first new studio album in over five years.
Dark and atmospheric, ImpetuoUs blends electronic and post‑punk elements, offering a deeper dive into 'Normal Isn't', due out on February 6. Singer Keenan said:
"I'm looking forward to hearing where this song takes people. As the writers, we forget that in a way, we are carpenters and that we’ve been with this song since it was a pile of lumber. Our perspective may differ from the final occupant of this space we’ve constructed. Shelter, Bridge or Gallows, Coffin? Curious to find out."
The song's accompanying video offers the first look at the alt-rock trio's upcoming comic book series, Tales From The Pusciverse. The first issue will focus on the character Bellendia Black, who was previously introduced in the music video for their previous single Pendulum, which followed their earlier track Self Evident. More details on the comic series are to be revealed soon.
Puscifer will support the follow-up to 2020's 'Existential Reckoning' with The Normal Isn't Tour across North America this spring, featuring special guest Dave Hill. Tickets are on sale now.
