Lala Lala, the project of Lillie West, has announced a new album.
The Chicago-raised, Los Angeles-based artist will release 'Heaven 2' on February 27, making her Sub Pop debut, following previous releases on Sub Pop’s Hardly Art imprint.
West co-produced the record with Jay Som's Melina Duterte, with contributors from Sen Morimoto, Macie Stewart, and Porches' Aaron Maine.
She first teased the project last October with the single Does This Go Faster?, which she has followed with two sparse synth-pop songs, the near title track Heaven2 and Even Mountains Erode, both of which showcase minimal, echoing instrumentation.
Lala Lala has also scheduled a North American tour for spring. Head here for details. Tickets are on sale now.
She released her last full album, 'I Want The Door To Open', in 2021. In 2024, she put out an instrumental LP titled 'If I Were a Real Man I Would Be Able to Break the Neck of a Suffering Bird'.
'Heaven 2' tracklist:
1. Car Anymore
2. Even Mountains Erode
3. Arrow
4. Tricks
5. Scammer
6. Heaven2
7. Anywave
8. Does This Go Faster?
9. This City
10. Wyoming Dirt
