The first headliners have been announced for a new summer concert series in London.
Bastille and The Wombats will co-headline the inaugural Palace Bowl Presents at Crystal Palace Bowl, South London on August 13 and will be joined by more acts that are still to be announced.
Bastille have several other outdoor UK shows in the diary for summer, including the Eden Sessions in St Austell, Depot Live at Cardiff Castle, Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Dreamland Margate, Colchester Castle Summer Series, and Live At The Piece Hall in Halifax. They'll also headline Blur bassist Alex James' Big Feastival.
Last November, they released Save My Soul, their first original single in three years, while frontman Dan Smith dropped a solo project, '& (Ampersand)', the year before. The band put out their latest studio album, 'Give Me the Future', and its deluxe edition 'Give Me The Future + Dreams Of The Past', in 2022.
The Wombats also have a number of summer dates already scheduled, including Live At The Piece Hall, Tunes In The Dunes in Cornwall, Cardiff's Depot In The Castle festival and Splendour Festival in Nottingham.
Last December, they released an expanded edition of album 'Oh! The Ocean', which came out that February.
Tickets for the new London show go on general sale at 10am on Friday (February 6). All other dates are on sale now.
