The Flaming Lips have announced three new UK shows for the summer.
The three-time Grammy Award-winners will co-headline Margate's Dreamland with Scottish psych-folk group The Beta Band on July 18, followed by headline performances at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall on July 21 and Cardiff's Depot on July 29.
The new shows will take place alongside The Flaming Lips' previously scheduled co-headline show with The Beta Band in Halifax on July 23 as part of the Live At The Piece Hall series, and a headline performance in Glasgow on July 27 for this year's Summer Nights At The Bandstand series.
The Oklahoma band will also headline Austin Psych Fest in Texas in May and appear at this year's Latitude Festival in Suffolk and Galway International Arts Festival.
Tickets for their new dates go on general sale at 10am on Friday (February 13). Their previously announced shows are on sale now.
The Flaming Lips released their most recent studio album, 'American Head', in 2020. Over the years, they've also collaborated with artists such as Miley Cyrus, Nell Smith, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Kacey Musgraves, Yoko Ono, and The Chemical Brothers, among others.
Late last year they released the live record 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Live at the OKC Zoo Amphitheatre, Aug. 30, 2024', which captures their full performance of their 10th studio album, 2002's 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots', in Oklahoma.
