Gurriers have announced their second album and accompanying tour dates.
The Dublin band will release 'Nobody's Coming To Save You' on September 25 via their new label home Play It Again Sam, following 2024's 'Come And See'.
Recorded at Donegal's Attica Studios and Holy Mountain Studios in London, the album was produced by Idles' Mark Bowen and Loren Humphrey, best known for his work with Geese and Cameron Winter, with mixing by John Congleton, whose previous credits include St. Vincent, Modest Mouse and Swans.
As a preview, the quintet have shared the record's intense post-punk title track, which features driving drums, jagged guitars and vocals that mix frustration with determination. It arrives with a cinematic video directed by Thomas James and follows the band's 2025 single, Erasure, though that doesn't appear on the record. The band said:
"It’s a song that feels hopeless on its first listen, but if you look at it more deeply it’s a call to action, no one is going to rise up if everyone expects someone else to do it. We all have to do our part in creating the change.”
Gurriers will hit the road for a series of festival dates this summer, including a show supporting Kneecap at London's Crystal Palace Park next month, followed by a new UK and European tour in the autumn, including a show at London's Electric Brixton on October 24 and two Dublin dates at Vicar Street and 3Olympia Theatre.
The band will be supported on select dates by either Enola Gay, Tramhaus, Really Good Time or Child Of Prague. Tickets for all dates go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (May 22).
