Razorlight Anounce Autumn UK And European Shows For 'America' 20th Anniversary Tour

Razorlight have announced UK and European shows for the autumn to celebrate 20 years since the release of 'Razorlight'.
The British indie giants will mark two decades of their 2006 second album with shows in Glasgow, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, London, Bristol, Belfast and Dublin between November 26 and December 14.
The UK and Ireland dates will form part of a wider European tour which runs from October 23 to December 9 and includes stops in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain.
The shows will see the four-piece, fronted by Johnny Borrell, perform the UK chart-topping record in its entirety, including the hits In The Morning, Before I Fall To Pieces, I Can’t Stop This Feeling I’ve Got and number one single America, alongside deep cuts like Hold On, Who Needs Love and Kirby's House.
Borell said: "The album itself started to sound like a greatest hits. That's when you know you're alright."
He added: "Me and Andy [Burrows] fell into this groove of writing, just this amazing musical connection. When you do that, it's like falling in love; it's just this sort of mutual intoxication and we just couldn't stop writing.”
The Molotovs and The Ks will support on the UK and Ireland run, with the latter also joining the band on the European dates. Tickets go on general sale at 9am local time on June 19.
Prior to the tour, Razorlight will play a number of festivals and outdoor shows this summer, including a headlining set at Tunes In The Park in Saltash, Cornwall, an appearance at the inaugural State Fayre in Chelmsford, and a performance at Norwich's Earlham Park supporting James for the Rock N Roll Circus series. Tickets for those dates are on sale now.
Razorlight released 'Planet Nowhere' in 2024, their fifth studio album and first from the band's classic line-up of Borrell, Björn Ågren, Carl Dalemo and Andy Burrows in 16 years. Last year, they put out the single Sugar High.
