Slipknot Return With First New Song In Over Three Years Arsenal

Slipknot have returned with their first new song in over three years.
The fast and aggresive Arsenal recalls the intensity and raw energy of the Iowa metal icons' earlier material, pairing Jim Root's distorted guitar riffs with pummelling percussion from Clown, Tortilla Man and drummer Eloy Casagrande.
There's also a surprising amount of turntable scratching and keyboards. Considering this is the first release since the departure of longtime turtablist Sid Wilson and sampler-keyboardist Craig Jones, it’s currently unknown who is making those sounds or if it was recorded by them before their departure.
The song is the band's first release on their own (sic)est Records label, after their 25-year deal with Roadrunner came to an end. Slipknot released their most recent studio album, 'The End, So Far', in 2022. Last year, they put out a 25th anniversary edition of their self-titled debut.
