The Gallagher brothers were one of the most talked about partnerships in British music, always on the edge of going their separate ways. Now a few months have passed, the dust has settled and the air has been cleared since their final climatic fall out last August. Oasis former singer Liam Gallagher has now spoken out and revealed his love for brother – and one time band mate – Noel.

The pair’s hostile relationship came to boiling point a few months ago after a row that resulted in Liam smashing his brother’s guitars and Noel walking out on the band that he had helped guide to global fame. Since the row Liam Gallagher has said in a number of interviews that he promises to record some solo material and it is reported that the singer is due to enter the studio in early 2010 with brother Noel rumoured to working on a new album also.

Speaking at the launch of his new clothing label ‘Pretty Green’ the singer has stated that he feels no bad feeling towards his brother. “He’s doing his thing, we’re doing our thing. I wish him all the best,” Liam told Sky News. “I don’t wish him any bad. I’m his brother. I love him to death.” Despite the unusual kind words, Liam also warned Noel about his solo plans saying, “Don’t release it (Noel Gallagher’s solo album) the same day. ‘cos we’ll ave ya.” When asked if he had a message for his brother, Liam Gallagher replied: “Good luck mate – see you in the next world. Don’t be late!”

The singer, who is rumoured to continue using the ‘Oasis’ name explained that other names for the group are being discussed but nothing has been agreed on yet. “We’re sorta going through the mill of getting a new name, nothings sticking, so we’ve drawn a line on the names at the moment” he said.

“People are still gonna go ‘it’s still Oasis, but it’s not Oasis without Noel’ – life’s too short to be arsing about with what people thing and that. We’ll see what happens, we’re concentrating on the music at the moment.”
