Egyptian Hip Hop are not, as their name suggests, a group of rappers from Egypt, but rather an indie-rock band from Manchester. Forming in 2008, the band released their debut EP ‘Some Reptiles Grew Wings’ two years later in 2010, via Hit Club Records. This paved the way for their debut album and found them a lot of attention in press - including a live session with Huw Stephens on BBC Radio One.

Despite announcing that their debut record was finished in November 2011, the LP didn’t see a release until October 22nd 2012, entitled ‘Good Don’t Sleep’. This album set them up for a tour of Europe and will also see them hitting the road for a tour of the UK in March 2013. Check below to find tickets to any Egyptian Hip Hop gigs.
