Harlequins was founded in 1866, originally forming as Hampstead Football Club before being renamed as Harlequins in 1870.
Recognised for their distinctive quartered shirt, Harlequins rank among the five oldest clubs in England. Their home ground, The Twickenham Stoop Stadium, has been home to the team since 1963. They have been champions of England twice, and are the current champions, winning the title in 2012 and most recently in 2021.
