Hootie and the Blowfish is an American alt-rock band from Columbia, South Carolina. Formed in 1986, the group comprises Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Dean Felber and Jim Sonefeld.

They released their debut album, 'Cracked Rear View', in 1994, which is regarded as one of the biggest-selling albums in US history. They have dropped six studio records in total, with the band taking hiatus in 2008 before returning for a full reunion tour in 2019 and putting out their first new studio album in 14 years, 'Imperfect Circle'.
