Foreigner are a British-American rock band from New York City, currently featuring Mick Jones, Thom Gimbel, Jeff Pilson. Kelly Hansen. Michael Bluestein, Chris Frazier and Bruce Watson. The band has been at the forefront of the rock scene for a almost 35 years, and has sold over 80million records worldwide.
Formed in 1976, by Mick Jones, Ian McDonald and Lou Gramm, the band signed to Atlantic, and released their debut self-titled album in 1977, which was followed by ‘Double Vision’, in 1978, ‘Head Games’, in 1979 and ‘4’, in 1981.
It was their fifth album, ‘Agent Provocateur’, released in 1984, which spawned their biggest hit, I Want to Know What Love Is. The band went on to release ‘Unusual Heat’, in 1991 and ‘Mr. Moonlight’, in 1994, before going on hiatus. They returned in 2009, with their latest record, 'Can't Slow Down'.
Foreigner played UK shows in May 2018 as part of their 40th anniversary world tour, which reached across North America in 2017. Summer 2018 also features a US tour - the Juke Box Heroes Tour with Whitesnake and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening - and an Orchestral tour of Australia and New Zealand.
