Jon Allen is an English folk-rock singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Winchester. Born in 1977, Allen was interested in taking on a career in music from a young age after finding he liked to show off and sing in public, and it wasn’t long before his stints in teenage bands turned into serious musical endeavours, especially following his course at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.
Now signed to Monologue Records, Allen has put out two studio albums (most recently with the popular ‘Sweet Defeat’ in 2011) and picked up major support from the likes of Jools Holland, Q Magazine, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley.
