Montero is the musical project of comic/video artist Bjenny Montero, an Australian who divides his time between Athens, Austin, Melbourne, and New York.
His debut album was 2013's 'The Loving Gaze', which was followed only much later by 2017 singles Vibrations and Tokin' The Night Away. A column-drawer for Vice who frequently provides artworks and merchandising for the likes of Ariel Pink, Kurt Vile, Pond and Mac DeMarco, he also expanded his musical side, and supported DeMarco on his recent UK and European tour. Ben Montero has now announced a series of headline dates in February supporting the launch of his forthcoming album, 'Performer', which is due for release on February 2 through Chapter Music.
