Phoenix Nights is a multi award-winning and critically acclaimed series which follows the rise and fall of scheming club impresario Brian Potter, played by Peter Kay, and his band of loyal staff and regulars who will do just about anything to make his beloved Phoenix club a success despite all the odds being stacked against them.
Peter Kay is without doubt one of the most popular comedians we have too, something proved by his incredible ‘Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour’ back in 2009, a four-night stint at the Manchester Arena that grew into 40 dates and a countrywide tour (making it the ‘The Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour...Now On Tour...’!) that Guinness World Records recognised as the most successful stand-up tour in the world, reaching over 1.2 million fans across the UK and Ireland. Even his biography ‘The Sound of Laughter’ is the best selling British autobiography to date! Though he has no plans to ever tour stand-up again, he made two rare appearances at Blackpool's Opera House in aid of Salford Women’s Aid Domestic Violence Refuges in November 2014. Having raised funds for a charity via those shows, Kay is now set to raise even more money for those in need by resurrecting his legendary Phoenix Nights show for 15 live events at Manchester’s Arena, in aid of Comic Relief, in January and February 2015. Returning after fifteen years, he’s planned a very special show for Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights Live that will reunite the full original cast from the award winning series for the first time since the shows creation back in 2000. The music was brilliant, atmosphere fantastic everyone joining in with Kerry's black bin bag song. Rayvon was fantastic with his laser show and selection of music especially 2 little boys and jim l fixit. The intro to Max and Paddy was awesome as they were in opposite corners in the dark, can you hear me now? We all went mad it was so funny. also then the clairvoyant batiste was excellent winding up the audience. Each character was featured as a guest which is different and Peter Kay well isn't he always fantastic. No worst moment just laughed and still reminiscing about it.
