St. Etienne are an English indie dance pop band from London, consisting of Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley, and Pete Wiggs.
Formed in 1991, they released their debut album,‘Foxbase Alpha’, in 1991, followed by ‘So Tough’ in 1993. The band took a change in direction for their third album, ‘Tiger Bay’, released in 1994, and formed a folk and electronica mix. The band continued to move further away from dance music with their 1998 album, ‘Good Humour’. Shifting again for a more atmospheric electronica sound for 2000s, ‘Sound of Water’ album, they followed with 2002’s, ‘Finisterre’, 2005’s, ‘Tales From Turnpike House, and 2012’s ’Words and Music By St Etienne’. The band released their latest album, ‘Home Counties’, in June 2017.
Saint Etienne will play UK Christmas shows in December in continued support of ‘Home Counties’. Catch them live by checking out the tour dates and ticket information on Stereoboard below.

Rather than call their ninth studio album something glib like ‘Straight Outta Reigate’ or ‘…At Chelmsford Prison’ (after Pete Wiggs and Sarah Cracknell’s respective hometowns), Saint Etienne have decided to continue their classy pop output with ‘Home Counties’; their first album since 2012’s ‘Words and Music By…’ and by and large a collection as excellent as that was.
