The Alarm are a Welsh alternative rock band from Rhyl, North Wales, fronted by Mike Peters, James Stevenson, Craig Adams, Steve "Smiley" Barnard and Mark Taylor.
Formed in 1981, the band released their debut album, ‘Declaration’, in 1984, which hit #6 in the UK Albums Chart and set them up for a successful 10 years, before they split after a gig in the Brixton Academy in 1991. 2013 saw the band return for a celebration of the 30th anniversary of their distinctive Red Poppy, which made it's iconic debut on the band's 1983 single 'Marching On’. The band released their latest album, ‘Majority’, in 2015.
In 2017 The Alarm released the soundtrack for the film 'Man In The Camo Jacket', celebrating Iconic Welsh rock musician, and member of The Alarm, Mike Peters' rise to fame, battle with cancer and inspiring return, featuring one-of-a-kind performances from other legendary musicians.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the UK and supported the likes of U2 and Bob Dylan.
