The Gentle Good is the stage name of Cardiff based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gareth Bonello. Taking influence from the traditional music and folklore of Wales along with a myriad of sources from all over the world, Gareth creates timeless folk music in both English and Welsh.
Gareth is capable of enchanting an audience as a soloist, although the live setup contains a rotating cast of musicians that can be expanded to include a full band and string quartet. The Gentle Good have released several critically acclaimed albums including ‘Tethered for the Storm’ (2011) and ‘Y Bardd Anfarwol’ (The Immortal Bard, 2013) both of which were nominated for the Welsh Music Prize. His latest record, the EP 'Y Gwyfyn', dropped in February 2018. Later this year, The Gentle Good will play Cardiff' Festival of Voice.
