The Pointer Sisters are an American R&B vocal group based in Oakland, California. Formed in 1969, it currently consists of Anita, Ruth, and Sadako Pointer, with other Pointer family members Bonnie, Issa, and the late June Pointer all having featured in its ranks too.
Best known for their hit single I'm So Excited, The Pointer Sisters would go on to pick up three Grammys, many platinum-records, and dozens of Top 5/10 chart positions across both sides of the pond.
