The Winery Dogs are an American rock supergroup hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 2012, the band consists of Dream Theatre star Mike Portnoy, guitar hero Richie Kotzen, and bassist Billy Sheehan, who has worked with the likes of Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, and Talas.

Creating a unique brand of blues and classic inspired hard rock - they cite Led Zeppelin, Railroad, Jimi Hendrix, and Cream as influences - they’re one of the most exciting new names in rock, and released their debut self-titled album in the summer of 2013.

They may be a power trio featuring some of the most respected and well travelled musicians on the block, but the time has come to surgically remove the 'supergroup' label from the Winery Dogs' back. This is no flash-in-the-pan vanity project for Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan and Richie Kotzen and with two superb albums of soulful, melodic and instrumentally adventurous hard rock under their belts, as well as hundreds of live shows, they are every bit the bona fide band.
