Thin Lizzy are a legendary Irish rock band hailing from Dublin, that formed way back in 1969. Most famous for their tracks ‘Whiskey in the Jar’, ‘The Boys are Back in Town’, and ‘Jailbreak’ - which you still hear all over the world today - the band were spearheaded by bassist Phil Lynott, who wrote or co-wrote pretty much all of their tracks.
After Lynott died in 1986 following a fight with drink and drugs, two years after the band had initially parted ways, different line-ups of the band continued to perform and record using the Thin Lizzy name. Currently, the band consists of original members Scott Gorham, Brian Downey, and Darren Wharton alongside three more recent members - but they’ve decided not to release their new album as planned, and to stop touring after 2012 in honour of Phil Lynott. However, you may still be able to find tickets through our official fan-to-fan resale and secondary reseller marketplace partners listed on our event pages.
