Yassassin are a British alternative rock band from London, featuring Anna, Joanna, Moa, Raissa and Ruth. The band released their debut single, Social Politics, in 2016, which was followed by Pretty Face, and Cherry Pie in 2017.
In January 2018, the band announced the departure of bassist Raissa Pardini and drummer Ruth Nitkiewicz. They were replaced with new members Stephanie Anderson, previously of Bruising, and Nathalia Bruno, formerly of DRIFT.
In May 2018, Yassassin in their new formation released the first matieral since their debut, a track called Citizen.
The London-based five piece have a busy few months ahead, with festival sets lined up at the Great Escape, Wychwood, and Tramlines, among others, as well as numerous support slots, including LIFE in London and the Parrots in Manchester. Yassassin come from all over the world, with members hailing from Sweden, Italy, England and Australia. But it was the East London music scene that drew them into each other's orbit. After appearing on the same bills with their previous bands they started frequenting the same parties and became friends.
