U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin, featuring Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen, Jr.
Formed in 1976, the band have released 13 albums, including their debut, ‘Boy’, in 1980, their first UK #1 album, ‘War’, released in 1983, and ‘The Joshua Tree’, released in 1987, which was their first USA #1 and featured the tracks With or Without You, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and here the Streets Have No Name. The band released their latest album ‘Songs of Innocence’, in 2014. The band have won 22 Grammys and sold over 150 million records across the world.
They have headlined their own shows and tours across the world, including the Elevation Tour in 2001, the Vertigo Tour in 2005-2006, the U2 360° World Tour, in 2009-20011, which grossed a record $736million and their most recent, the Innocence + Experience Tour in 2015, which included a six-night residency at London's O2 arena, as well as two nights in Glasgow, two nights in Belfast and four nights in Dublin.
U2 played ’The Joshua Tree’ anniversary shows in Dublin and two in London, with support from Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds, as part of their world tour. There were also shows across North America and Europe too.
'Songs of Experience', their latest record, dropped in December 2017. Supporting it, the band will head to North American tour in the summer and back to the UK and Ireland in the autumn for huge eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour shows in London, Manchester, Belfast and Dublin, as part of a wider European leg.
