Brandon Flowers Confirms UK Solo Tour & Ticket Details

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is bringing new solo album ‘Flamingo’ to UK shores later this year, having just announced a series of solo shows for October.

Following three albums and years of continuous touring, you can’t really blame The Killers for announcing a hiatus. However, despite other members of the Las Vegas band growing tired of recording, frontman Brandon Flowers found the lure of the studio too much to bare deciding to try his hand outside the group dynamic and step out alone.

Using songs originally written for The Killers, Brandon Flowers completed his debut solo album ‘Flamingo’ with new single ‘Crossfire’ being the only offering of new material revealed by the singer.

Becoming a favourite amongst fans and hitting the Top Ten on its first week of release ‘Crossfire’ has set the standard for what we expect from Flowers’ anticipated album. Having been kept under wraps for a while now, fans are eager for the release of ‘Flamingo’ next week on September 6th.

Hitting the UK roads with a new backing band in October, Brandon Flowers will take his first solo jaunt across the country stopping at venues in Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, London and Birmingham.

Brandon Flowers will play the following UK shows:

October 2010

12th O2 Academy, Glasgow
13th O2 Academy, Leeds
14th O2 Academy, Liverpool
16th O2 Academy, Manchester
17th HMV Forum, London
18th HMV Institute, Birmingham

Tickets for the shows are onsale from Friday September 3rd, however members of The Killers fanclub will be able to purchase selected tickets from Wednesday September 1st.
