Brandon Flowers Announces Tour With Fran Healy

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has announced that he will tour with Fran Healy this November. The two singer/songwriters will play a series of North American dates in support of their respective solo albums.

The pair will play for two weeks, beginning with a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on 10th November. The stint also includes dates in Washington, Canada, Oregon and Illinois.

Fran Healy, best known as lead singer in Scottish band Travis, wrote on his website earlier this week: “Hot Newsflash… I’m going to be supporting Brandon in the US for the following shows. Just me and my guitar and some songs and so many LOL jokes!! NOT.” Healy recently released his debut solo album, ‘Wreckorder’ on October 5th.

It has been an extremely busy week for Brandon Flowers, who found out a few days ago that he is to be a father again. The Las Vegas rocker is expecting his third child with his wife Tana. Speaking to a British radio station, he confirmed the news, and discussed the difficulties of juggling both touring and being with his family: “It’s very difficult being on tour so my family don’t come with me very often. With touring it gets harder with each child, it’s not something you plan for or prepare yourself for, you just got to go out there and figure it out yourself,” he said.

Flowers also confirmed that when he rejoins with The Killers after having toured his solo material, he would like to cut back on the number of shows he does in coming years, concentrating more on spending time with his family.

Brandon Flowers and Fran Healy are due to play the following dates in November:

10th Los Angeles, The Wiltern
11th Oakland, Fox Theatre
13th Portland, Roseland Theatre
14th Seattle, Showbox SoDo
15th Vancouver, Commodore Ballroom
17th Salt Lake City, The Depot
18th Denver, Ogden Theatre
21st Minneapolis, First Avenue
23rd Chicago, Riviera Theatre
24th Royal Oak, Royal Oak Music Theatre
