Katy Perry is set to appear in an upcoming episode of US sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’, it has been revealed. The singer will be playing the role of Honey, a potential love interest for the show’s protagonist Ted Moseby.
The cameo will be the third time that Perry has acted on television in the past few months: the singer joined The Simpsons for a special live action show last month and made a controversial appearance on Sesame Street last year, when the recording was scrapped because of Perry supposedly showing too much cleavage.
Meanwhile, Perry has entered into a feud with her husband Russell Brand after he posted an unflattering photo of the singer on the internet. The comedian posted a picture of Perry on his Twitter account, showing the singer without make-up looking as if she had just woken up. However, it would appear that Perry has some influence over her husband: the image was taken down moments after he had posted it (but not before it spread around the internet like wildfire, of course).
Perry, who is currently Number One in the US singles chart with ‘Firework’, spoke about the incident to a British newspaper yesterday, swearing revenge on her husband: “He thought it was hilarious, but as you can imagine, I wasn’t too impressed. I’m currently plotting my payback.”
