The Script Manage To Crack The States

Irish boy band The Script have managed to break the states.

The boys are making headlines across the pond, with them flying straight to the #3 spot with their album ‘Science and Faith’.

The trio — singer Danny O'Donoghue, 29, guitarist Mark Sheehan, 30, and drummer Glen Power, 30 — were titled "the new brand of Celtic soul" when they first hit the shores back in 2010.

They publicised by appearing on various chat shows, including the Jimmy Kemmel show, David Letterman’s show and also Ellen DeGeneres’ show, and it seems to have paid off - with the band selling over 100,000 copies of the album within the first week.

The band has been building up popularity, with help along the way from various different sources. American Idol winner Kris Allen gave them a popularity boost by covering their song ‘Live Like You’re Dying’ for his debut single, which peaked at #18. The lads are also fresh off a US tour which started back in October.

All we can do now is anticipate a new album, fresh with new idea from the sunny U.S of America - a bit of a contrast from their native Ireland.
